His brain injured, Gustavus is no longer in command. Swedish chancellor Oxenstierna, a leader of aristocratic reaction against democracy, is gathering the forces of the hidebound ruling class to drown the revolution in a bloodbath. Princess Kristina, heir to the USE's throne, is now residing in Magdeburg and is giving them her full support. THE DEVIL'S OPERA continues Eric Flint's series that started with his attention-grabbing 1632.
If you liked the previous books, you won't be disappointed with this one. Flint has gone back to providing a bit more action and adventure in the last couple of books, something which I strongly support.
If you aren't familiar with this series, buy a copy of 1632 and read it. You'll be hooked.
