Numerous full page engraivngs of a very nice quality. sm8vo. 228pp. Quarter bound. Front board has printed "title page" like information. Rear board printed with ads of similar Emerson textbooks namely Readers, Arithmetic and Spelling. Date of publication believed to be shortly after 1812 since that is the latest date on the last page. The title page and first 12 pages are missing as are several at the back after page 228. Two engravings and several pages torn or pieces missing. Corners of boards well worn. Front hinge starting. Supple leather worn at top of spine. Text is very readable on clean bright paper. Very nice early engravings.
