The figures in script are from the excellent Copy-books of the Messrs. Payson, Dunton, and Serib ner. In the Exercises in Addition, in columns, all the elementary combinations are arranged progressively, and repeated many times; if the pupil becomes accurate ind quick in adding these, he will readily acquire facil ity in the practice of the other mechanical operations of arithmetic.
