Simply written, yet detailed, this book is like an epiphany! It gives great insight into the misunderstandings and misrepresentations in modern environmental ideas and schemes from the point of view of economics. It really sets things straight in a positive and constructive way. The book is uncomplicated and flows well, building your knowledge and understanding of the subjects as you read. No prior experience in economics or environmental issues is needs to understand this book with clarity. Beckerman gives simple real-world examples and plenty of references without making his book overly scientific or academic. This is a book I will keep on my shelf, and reference in my own work.
