He worked with the White House to launch AmeriCorps and served as founding director of the Michigan Neighborhood AmeriCorps Program, Edward Ginsberg Centre for Community Service and Learning, Michigan Youth and Community Program, Youth Dialogues on Race and Ethnicity, and the Youth Civil Rights Academy.
