good stories & interviews, explains a lot
This book has interviews with a lot of the men who wrenched on the cars in different eras, as the cars evolved from stock cars modified to race, to race cars made to look like stock cars. Published in 1992, it has lots of interesting stories and anecdotes. There are also photos of the various old assemblies on the cars showing the evolution of the parts. It is only interesting if you are a gear head, like history and enjoy reading interviews/stories.
The book is strange in that it simple ends with an interview, you turn the page and there is an index. There are several odd layout choices as well. However, the information is pretty solid if this sort of thing interests you.
