I am still waiting for a breakthrough in my understanding of Hebrew, but I am sure that this is better than Shalavim.

This is great!!!
This book is divided in small chunks to help the reader learn. It has an answer book and most self study books don't. Practico's book has lots of resources for you to buy. But, this book is very thorough and gives background information like you have never seen. Most Hebrew books dum down the subject area or suppose you have been to Hebrew school and know the information leaving out so much information. This book does not. Even if you are studying modern Hebrew the grammar provides lots of information not included with other books. Practico has lot of resources to go along with his books, but all that is needed with this book is pen, pencil and paper. Writing is a learning tool and you will learn if you use this book and check your answers. It also offers suggested tests(very small) for checking your progress.
