This fund was increased to the sum of $2,000 by additional contributions subsequently made. At the time of the consolidation with The New York Public Library, Astor, Lenox and Tilden Foundations, 25 February, 1901, it was invested in $2,000 St. Louis, Iron Mountain & Southern Railway Company 5 per cent.
