You all know that Land and Water, are found on the Earth's surface Some people live in the country on farms, some have their homes in cities or towns while still others sail on the sea in ships, or ride from place to place in steamboats, sloops, etc. It is quite important that we should first learn the name and nature of those objects nearest to us, and then we shall be able to form a clearer idea of such as are beyond our sight. The solid part of the Earth's surface we call Land, and the rest is Water. Farms are land rivers, lakes, etc. Are water.
