Seller's Description:
Very Good Plus. No Dust Jacket. 4th Printing. 4to-over 9¾"-12" tall. 153 pp. Tightly bound. Corners not bumped. Text is free of markings. No ownership markings. No dust jacket. A nice copy with dark cream colored boards with small black type face on the front board and spine. This copy is the 4th printing of the 1947 publication. In this fourth printing some minor editorial changes have been made, and an Author Index and Subject Index have been included. These indexes have been prepared by Helen Perry and Mary Ladd. This copy is smyth sewn. Smyth sewing is a method of bookbinding where groups of folded pages (referred to as signatures) are stitched together using binder thread. Each folded signature is sewn together individually with multiple stitches and then joined with other signatures to create the complete book block. This is the traditional and best method of bookbinding.
