It asked the Bureau of Entomology and Plant Quarantine to assist in their solution. In 1943 and 1944 a number of important insect problems developed, and satisfactory control measures were devised. This circular deals with the insects and mites found while guayule was being grown in nurseries, field plantings, and greenhouses in California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas, from 1943 to 1945. The various insects will be discussed in the order used by Essig (2) 5 not in the order of their importance.
