"Design of Linear Drainage Systems" begins with an introduction of the basic hydraulic parameters, covering topics required in channel flow theory. It then progresses to explain a procedure for answering the fundamental design requirement of finding the length of a drainage channel or the outlet spacing, and the capacity of a channel with specified cross-sectional dimensions.Any problem areas, such as the location of the control section, which need to be considered during the course of development of the procedure have been highlighted.
