For each book of the Bible, there is a brief introduction to the book; a discussion of introductory issues (such as author, date, writing style, and addressees); a paragraph-level subject outline of the book; an "argument" which traces the flow of thought throughout the book but also deals with macrostructure, theology, and interpretive issues; and an annotated bibliography. This series originated in a massive, multi-year project that was part of Dr. Steven Anderson's Ph.D. program in Biblical Studies at Dallas Theological Seminary, but it incorporates insights gained throughout a lifetime of Bible training and academic study. Volume 8 of Dr. Anderson's Interpretive Guide to the Bible covers the New Testament books of Hebrews through Revelation (Hebrews, James, 1 & 2 Peter, 1, 2, & 3 John, Jude, and Revelation).
