I bought this book for the Jaid Black story. It was excellent but it is the 4th installment of the Death Row series by Ms. Black. Therefore, I recommend reading those 3 previous Death Row series book first otherwise you might be lost. Unfortunately, the other two stories were less than mediocre. I like to buy these anthologies to try out unknown authors. It was a little disappointing to find that I had no further interest in reading more by either Ms. Jacobs or Ms. Hill. I highly recommend reading any of Ms. Black's works.
