Fair. Purchasing this item from Goodwill provides vocational opportunities for individuals with barriers to employment. Reading Copy. May have damage to cover, notes, underlining, highlighting, but all text legible.
A classic in the field, the encyclopedia covers just about everything in a quick straightforward reference format. Descriptions of techniques for various procedures are precise but brief and one should not expect long explanations as to how to do a particular procedure. But one will find a point in the right direction and anyone with a basic knowledge in woodworking will be able to figure out themselves how to accomplish the procedure in question

Good Solid Information
The author provides repair and restoration information on older furniture which is hard to find. The book reflects his experience very well. The section on tools and equipment is dated but the principles are valid. The designs for furniture are older. The designs discussed have basic principles which endure to today. Joints and joinery, wood and its properties are included in an easy to understand manner which will help you to improve your own designs. Since we are talking about a "used" book at far less than new prices. A good book for your library.
