This book is so unique! It is a combination of theater and poetry, which make for an easy and interesting read. Check out the movie! Not for children - explicit material.

Don't bother with the movie on this one. The poetry is vivid enough. More than 30 years old and still relevant.

Very interesting written from a black women's point of view. 20 poems in the voice of different nameless women. The poems deal with love, abandonment, rape, abortion and other women's issues
