Reading Music Made Simple
This book was OK, but it's also not what I wanted or needed. Put another way, if bought new from Barnes & Noble, I'd have returned my purchase.
It also was lacking in proofreading which, if I didn't know that the text contained errors, could have really skewed my musical education.
