The asymptotic approximation of both integrals and differential equations is discussed and the discussion includes hyperasymptotics as well as uniform asymptotics. There are many numerical examples to illustrate the relation between theory and practice. Exercises in the chapters enable the book to be used as a text for an introductory course.
