Journey to Ixtlan is the most useful Castaneda book to read, as it presents the most basic lessons in living of don Juan on how to be a "hunter " and a warrior. Fantastic and very intriguing. A book to live by. Don Juan claims it's lessons are still applicable to everyday modern-day life.
Some claim that these Castaneda books of "sorcery" are for "gullible hippies". But these people are probably religious in the traditional sense, so they may be gullible themselves and not realize it.
