I've been through Point Pleasant, WV, and have heard the stories of the Mothman...even a few from my area. So I was interested in a book that could go into a little more detail about it. More specifically, I was looking for the history of Mothman throughout the world...the ancient myths to cross reference, basically. So, I bought the book because of the title and because I couldn't find a review that clearly stated what I was looking for. At times, the book sounds like something out of the National Inquirer while it recounts "modern" stories of the Mothman and similar creatures (not always related to the Mothman) within the United States. It does have some good information as well, including a list of possible places that "weird" things happen at and theories on how to spot such places. Overall, I found this to be a book to support others a person may have. Not as a sole source of information on any particular subject.
