The interest created by this simple reminder of the old home was instantaneous-and far reaching and the most enthusiastic believers in the preposed festival were amazed by the results as measured by its influence both upon the absent ones and upon those at home. Permanent benefits have followed in the more hopeful view of existing conditions and the great pride in the achieve ments of men and women of New Hampshire birth.
