This book is written by an insider who went through most of the october revolution and all of the sebsequent changes until Stalin decided to purge him and he defected to the US. It is a different perspective than you are likely to find anywhere else and I found it Highly interesting informative and well written. Never dull. It's a great book and I'm glad Axexander took hi opportunity to escape to feedom.
