What I have been looking for..
This is just one of the books I have been looking for when developing
for OSG. It details the critical steps in setting up OSG in Linux which I was afraid to do because I felt intimidated.
There are also examples for advanced visualization and graphics techniques (like depth peeling, osgEarth, paging etc.) I wish I had this book earlier when I was working on a project about terrain visualization using OSG: I was really tired of digging and searching
information about this particular topic here and there and this would be a very useful resource back then.
I recommend this book to all users who want to go beyond basics of using OSG, especially to those who work in simulation industry, where you need OSG for terrain visualization and paging.
I also advise the authors to continue their work and publish a similar
cookbook related to other advanced visualization techniques and maybe
work on other third-party plugins (like osgOcean, osgCompute etc).
