This is one of the most enlightening books ever written on how to conduct business. Apart from the fact that Deming helped set up the very successful Japanese Inc. his insights would have prevented the current collapse in the US economy. His belief was that positive and trusting relationships result in long term business success. Some German industry continues to prove this point. In America they just didn't seem to understand his ethics. Perhaps greed is a stronger motivator in the short run.

How Management Resurrects A Business
This is the seminal work of the most revered speaker on this subject. Deming has a Track Record; his Business Philosophy is logical and easy to follow.
The manager who wishes to carve waste of time, money and resources from his product delivery will find this handbook invaluable.
Compared to the modern vernacular, the reader may find it dry; dry of 'Buzz Words', that is.
Using unadorned prose, Deming explains the vital role of management in uncovering problems in the product delivery system, measuring them, solving them and measuring the result.
Consider this 'Old School': if you are a Finance-Oriented person who prefers to solve problems by simply 'Picking a better supplier' you may ask, "Why bother?".
The book will be most helpful to the manager who desires to BECOME a better supplier.
It certainly could help American management revitalize domestic business activities.
