This is a deeply disturbing book. It is not one that can be read dispassionately. Every Christian edifice and practice is dragged down as being unbiblical. None are spared. While much of what the author says is true, his solution -- going back to the house churches of the 1st century AD -- is open to question from a number of aspects, too numerous to review here. Because this book is so disturbing, I would not recommend it to any I know save perhaps my own pastor. I believe very few people could handle the issues it raises.
