Seller's Description:
Very Good. This is a very good hardcover copy in pale green cloth boards with titles in gilt, and a vignette in darker green on the front cover. Top page-edge gilt. Covers a bit toned, spine has a small stain. The black design on the covers is still vivid and the gilt titles still bright. Slight foxing to preliminaries and endpapers. Also a note tipped in to the front endpaper, citing some London auction information from the 1960's and a very faint pencil notation by someone noting that they bought the book in Wimbledon at Lloyd's Bookshop in 1967. Otherwise very clean throughout. Slight lean to book, (but not cocked). Illustrations of late 19th century European and American posters in black & white on every other page. A scarce and important classic survey of the graphic design of the late 19th century poster. 9" high X 6" wide, 367 pages. This book will be securely wrapped and packed in a sturdy box and shipped with tracking.
