Fair. First U.S. ed. "corrected and Revied, from the Twelfth English Edition; " "illustrated with thrity engravings on wood by Atherton; " 395 p. clean with light pencil notations on margins of the 3-page introd. and the end pages--the last end page has been torn and partially missing. Text preceded by 44-page "Catalogue of School Books." Paper mildly age-toned and occasionally foxed by strong and of fine quality; text block is firm but gutters are cracked; blue patterned boards moderately work but the cloth on the black spine with gilt lettering is detached, the upper portion missing. This rare and interesting volume deserves to be rebound.
