Good as introduction and very helpful to beginners
As it is already said in the preface, this book is intended to provide and INTRODUCTION to this field for senior or first-year graduate engineering students. I would say an EXCELLENT INTRODUCTION considering most of the books about power generation assume a sometimes rather high theoretical background. Wood and Wollenberg have written a book were nothing is taken for granted and were all the chapters are explained clearly enough. Two aspects I have personally found lacking: answers to the proposed problems and a more friendly software that, considering the new editions are from 2005, should be not in DOS as still it is. A highly recommended and well written book nonetheless.
