Malcolm Knowles broke new ground forty years ago that needs nurturing to bear fruit. I use his methods to teach graduate students with great success. I am certain that these same methods will work for younger students starting at age 10. The reisstance from teachers to adopt this andragogical method is from two sources: ignorance of the method; and fear that it willl cause the teacher to work much harder. Knowles body of written work is hard to find, however, it is valuable and can be reprinted. It is time to use the wisdom of Malcolm Knowles to invigorate teaching.
