The mathematics is kept to a minimum, with the exception of a final chapter on advanced statistical techniques. An extensive glossary and comprehensive index are included, and the book contains tables and listings of available software packages. The author, Chris Rauwendaal, is the author of the well-known and widely used guide Polymer Extrusion (Hanser Publishers, 1986).
