This book has been an inspiration to me
I was given my first copy of Streams in the Desert five years ago as a birthday gift, and I have since had to replace it because it began to fall apart from use. I've found that my favorite writings are copyright 1960 or earlier as these seem to keep with Mrs. Cowman's beautiful language and follow more closely the KJV Bible. The more recent copyrights are, of course, more modern, and therefore seem to lose some meaning in translation. I often order these daily devotionals to give as gifts to friends who are going through tough times, and they all have fallen in love with it like I have. I would highly recommend this daily devotional to anyone who needs help understanding and accepting that life is sometimes difficult and troubled, but makes us stronger for the journey.
