'I am very doubtful whether history shows us one example of a man who, having stepped outside traditional morality and attained power, has used that power benevolently.'

If you like to read different philosophies but they leave you unsatisfied and with more unanswered questions, run to this book. It will start you on the right path and your brain will say, "Hmm, that makes sense."
Abstract and personal meanderings by most philosophers are mostly a reflection of their own experience or an attempt to sound profound. Lewis cuts through that and leads the reader to confront universal realities. Very refreshing.

A difficult book to read.
A very deeply intellectual book. Too deep for me unfortunately.
