In a career spanning three decades, ASHWIN RANGAN has served as CIO with organizations ranging in size and complexity from start-ups to Wal-Mart, the world's largest company. He currently serves as Chief Innovation Officer and CIO with ICANN - the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers. ICANN coordinates the global domain name system (DNS). The Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) department within ICANN is responsible for managing the DNS Root and the numbering system for IP addresses.
