The famous passage where he runs over all the Christian Churches of the world, without a word of condemnation for the Catholics of the West and North; his quotation, in one place, of the very phrase, "Mother of God," on which the whole Nestorian controversy first arose; and his constant use of Catholic divines, point perhaps to this conclusion.
