The extensive data provides information on self-management, representation, local governments, the league of Communists and other dimensions of the former Yugoslavia. It also provides a critical but positive assessment of the Yugoslav experiment in participatory democracy at workplace and communal levels that has significance beyond the Yugoslav case.
