A Thrilling Introduction to the Trilogy
Storm Constantine's style is exciting and relatively simple. "Enchantments," the first book in her Wraeththu Trilogy, is an excellent beginning. The book follows the adventures of Pellaz, a human who becomes involved in Wraeththu matters through the tragic character, Calanthe. "Enchantments" is written from Pellaz's point of view, which allows the reader to form bonds with many of the characters that become important (and fade out, of course) as the trilogy progresses. Aside from Pellaz and Calanthe, the readers are presented with many other, supporting characters that are each very unique - with good and bad qualities.
"Enchantments" will make you laugh aloud, cry and, most importantly, think. It's almost impossible to put down, so don't start it late at night!! :)
