A friend lent me this book first, and half-way through it I ordered two copies, one for myself, and one for my son. Chapter after chapter enlightened me to ways of life I could hardly believe, but now cherish, and in a way that was personal yet universal. I don't know what awards this book won, but it should have won lots of them. I applaud this woman for her insight, her compassion, and her incredible ability to bring the life of the sea into my mind and heart.
