One day, while reading selected meditations in a prayer book, I came across the poem for which this book is named. I thought the poem was beautiful. And, its message directly related to how I often relate to nature. So I researched the original author, and then purchased books by him.
I am so glad I chanced upon him. It is like an awakening to discover somebody new to me and so appreciate their observations of life, from their perspective and from the farm the lived on.
To wholistically understand the role the cycles of nature, and how nature interacts with us. it is a beautiful thing to read.
