What great fun it must be to have unlimited resources and a great sense of style. I personally wouldn't know what that's like, but it certainly is jolly to read about women who did. Alas, many of them had rather sorry love lives, although they managed to look smashing throughout. This is a beautiful book, full of great photos of women of another era. It left me more convinced than ever that blue jeans and tee shirts are the scourge of 20th century fashion.
