This translation is the best out there. Most others are mediocre. Fichte's notoriously difficult German discourages many, yet pays off handsomely in the end. This translation fabulously solves most of the difficulties.
Fichte, of course, is indispensable as the godfather of German idealism which spread out its tentacles into every major philosophy department in the world, including of course England and America. Therefore, it should be required reading for many not just in philosophy but also in religious studies and in fact all of the humanities, and undergraduate core curricula.
