While Dr. Hull covers a lot of facts and figures related to the study of textual criticism, he does a good job of telling the store as the title suggests. The state of the field is very different from it was a generation ago and far more complex. He did a good job of presenting the complexity and enormity of the task without blowing the reader's mind and leaving them confused. In short, he kept my interest all the way to the end.
