In connection with other work, the writer devoted several years to a study of the wave theory of light and its application to a solution of the great problems of the structure of the ether of space, the kinetic creation of matter, the birth, life and death of suns and worlds, and the forces operating to maintain the cycles of the Universe. As this study progressed from well-trodden paths into new fields, the results reached led to such astounding conclusions, that he could not do otherwise than press the investigations to the developments herein presented.
