Very enoyable reading. Amazing how they survived in those conditions and with so little that didn't come from the wilderness.
Just amazing life style. Such determination and courage, I was truly impressed by their story.

book review
The memoir three against the Wilderness was one of the best books I have read. Through out the whole book it made me feel like I was actually there. The memoir starts out with Eric collier moving from Britain to British Columbia to start a new life and start a family. He meets this girl at a trading post one day and they get married. After they get settled in and move out deep into the brush. They have a son. They life in a tent and in a wagon for 4 years. They then build a small cabin to live in for 10 years. During those ten years Eric and Lillian try to rebuild old beaver dams to bring the water table back up because the land is dry and is starting too many forest fires. After a couple of years the water table rises and the animals come back to British Columbia. Eric starts to trap to make money for his family. After Veasy there son grows up and they build a bigger and better cabin. Towards the end of the story Veasy joins the military and serves in the Korean War. Veasy comes home and helps his old father run the house.
