The first time I bought this book was in 1971 when I was a Forest Mgt. major at SIU, Carbondale, IL. Not only was this "required" reading, but a valuable, easy-to-read "Bible of Trees." Unfortunately, I lost it during one of several moves, so I purchased another one. When a friend of mine bought a weekend house in the woods of the Blue Ridge Mts. of northern Georgia, I presented her with a copy of this book as a house-warming present, and she loves it!
