Eliot Pattison's books about Tibet are fantastic, a good read, an excellect mystery, well written but most of all...different. I have learned so much about Tibet, the people, religion, Chinas roll since the 1950's. Pattison has written 4 books to date and I suggest the reader start with the first "The Skull Mantra" and save money (lots) by ordering from Alibris
