ROBERT E. HOWARD OUTSTANDING STORY TELLER AND BOXE
Robert E. Howard (1906-1936) was born and raised in Texas and a boxer himself. He hung out with the locals in town and saw, learned, and trained with them. REH himself was pretty darn good with his fists but his greatest claim to fame is telling some great yarns. His famous character is Conan The Barbarian!
He spent most of his life in the town of Cross Plains with some time spent in nearby Brownwood. He was also a fan of boxing and spent some time in his late teens bodybuilding, eventually taking up amateur boxing himself. From the age of nine he dreamed of becoming a writer of adventure fiction. REH's writings were published in a wide selection of magazines, journals, and newspapers, and he has became world renowned in several genres. He contributed most of his stories to the pulp magazine Weird Tales.
If you've never read a REH story you're in for a real treat!
One of his best stories ever written is Red Nails and about Conan and Valeria!
Another ebook I highly recommend is The Robert E. Howard Omnibus: 99 Collected Stories (Halcyon Classics which has 99 of his best stories in all genres!
Enjoy as once you read one of REH stories you're hooked!
