Why did the disciples gather in the upper room in Jerusalem instead of fleeing to the four winds? The proposition of the book becomes that the same mysterious grace is available to those who follow Christ now - in their darkest hours, as well as in the happy ones. Even though our circumstances are such that we see no rays of dawn - no light at the end of the tunnel - the Spirit of Christ meets us when it is yet dark.
