Wahrend Band 1 fur die Buchausgabe der Mayschen Werke neu geschrieben wurde, setzen sich die Bande 2 und 3 aus (umgearbeiteten) alteren Erzahlungen zusammen. Zusammengehalten wird die Trilogie hauptsachlich durch die Figur des Santer.
