My name is Pastry chef Carl Thomas, and I taught myself how to bake. I was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. I am the fourth child out of five children. I chose to write a cook book just for children of any age to teach a person how to bake. I took classes at Michael's craft store. The first course I took was the discover cake decorating.
