Kelly was a Principal Scientist at SRI International in Menlo Park, California, with over 45 years of experience in the fields of optics, vision, and imaging technology, until his recent retirement. Dr. Kelly received the B.S. degree in optics from the University of Rochester, New York, and the Ph.D. degree in engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles.
